It brought tears to my eyes. I can hardly believe that it is almost three years since he has passed away. I rmember the day that Dad walked Lori down the aisle at her wedding on september 9, 2005. He insisted that he walk her from the back of the church to the front by the altar. Lori told him that he only had to walk her the last 3-4 rows. I feel that he was so proud to be able to walk his little girl down the aisle to the man she loves, I know that dad knew that by her marrying Alan that when something happened to him that she would be well taken care of. I love and miss my Dad very much. I can remeber the day he got his first leg and how proud he was to be walking again. His first leg was a steel rod with the shoe attached and when he came back to my bedroom to show me i said "Lieutenant Dan you got legs." He was not offended by my comment, He smiled and laughed. That's how he was he could find humor in his disability and didn't let it get the best of him. I'm so very proud to of had him as my Father.
